Lasers vs. ...
Shaving
Shaving is a simple procedure but it is also very time consuming. “Time is money!” Consider the amount of time you’ve spent (wasted) shaving every week or every day…? Shaving is also messy. All the creams, lotions, and those nicks, and cuts. Bottom line: Shaving is a very short-lasting solution that requires a constant, lifelong commitment.
Tweezing
This option is not only painful but it’s also very impractical for large areas of the body (i.e. back, legs, etc…)
Depilatories
Another short-lasting solution, this procedure (often messy) requires a significant time commitment and must be repeated about once a week. There is also real risk involved, if depilatories are left on too long, they can cause severe skin irritation or even chemical burns.
Waxing
Waxing can cover large skin areas and may last for a month or so. However, it is useful only after your hair grows out and becomes visible above the skin (longer than simple stubble). Also waxing is very painful procedure, especially in bikini line and other sensitive areas of the body. It can cause redness and may even stimulate the process of ingrown hair or allergic reaction.
Electrolysis
This procedure involves sticking a needle into each hair follicle and applying an electric current that damages the follicle. Be aware that there is a risk to inflame the skin which can lead to scarring. Because you can treat only one hair follicle at a time, it is tedious and very time-consuming process.
